A willingness to travel regularly to other WWT locations is essential, staying away from home as and when required. Travel will also be a necessary part of this role, visiting our sites across the UK to support the learning teams and observe the project in action. It is expected the role will need to work from their site base a few times a month and as required for key meetings. We are currently involved in positive discussions with the funder in order to extend the project by a further three years.įor this role, we can offer flexibility around working from home. They will effectively plan, monitor and evaluate project activities, supporting their implementation across a range of sites. This provides an exciting opportunity for someone to come in, evaluate project success to date and use the learning from this to help shape a new phase of the project. Working within this team and with the support of external contractors, WWT experts, teachers, learners and our site-based learning teams, you will manage delivery of the project across seven of our UK wetland centres. Our learning teams have a real passion for breaking down the barriers preventing disadvantaged children from connecting with nature. This ground-breaking project uses story, music, art, performance and puppetry to create a sense of magic and adventure, engaging a wide range of children irrespective of their background, ability or preferred learning styles. Generation Wild is engaging thousands of primary-age children with nature, improving their wellbeing and inspiring the next generation of nature lovers. We are looking for someone with the drive, skills and experience to lead our latest nature connection project for schools, children and families in disadvantaged areas.
